13-16 June 2005, SPE Europec/EAGE Annual Conference, Madrid, Spain, SPE's 14th Europec is joining forces with EAGE's 67th Annual Conference in a combined meeting that will bring a truly multi-disciplinary perspective to the conference theme – the Challenge of Discovery.

6-9 September 2005, Offshore Europe, Aberdeen, UK, The theme for Offshore Europe 2005 is Managing Mature Production: A Global Challenge. While much experience has been gained in dealing with the maturing North Sea, which will be shared at this conference and exhibition, the programme is expected to draw from other maturing basins such as the Gulf of Mexico, West Africa, the Middle and Far East.

25-29 September 2005, Chemical Flooding - ATW,Daqing, Heilongjiang, China, With the recent rise in oil prices, interest in chemical flooding methods has increased sharply. At least one-third of the world’s medium and light gravity crude resources will be unrecoverable unless new methods can be economically applied. This Applied Technology Workshop will focus on the state of the art in chemical flooding methods.

This is an international conference and exhibition, presenting the most current technologies from around the world, with a special focus on heavy oil and bitumen. The scope of the technical program will encompass economic, technical, and environmental issues that challenge the heavy-oil and bitumen businesses.

5-6 December 2005, International Improved Oil Recovery Conference in Asia Pacific, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, The theme of this fourth biennial conference is A New Era for IOR—The Time Has Come. The scope of the conference covers a wide range of techniques and technology for improving oil recovery, with special emphasis on cost-effective applications, strategies and life-cycle perspectives, sustaining and maintaining production, as well as social responsibilities.

10-13 December 2005, SPE/EAGE Reservoir Characterization and Simulation Symposium  Dubai, UAE,  This first SPE/EAGE Reservoir Characterization and Simulation Symposium is the successor to the three previous Applied Technology Workshops held on similar topics beginning in 2002. The Symposium -- organized by SPE and the European Association of Geoloscientists and Engineers -- will provide an opportunity for more professionals involved in reservoir characterization and simulation to discuss and exchange views on a wide range of relevant problems facing oil and gas professional today.
