The SHARP programme has a component for supporting JIPs in IOR topics by co-sponsoring them together with industry. New project proposals are invited once a year and we solicit the advice of our Advisory Committee for Hydrocarbons Additional Recovery Research (ACHARR). This year we had 18 proposals and the meeting of ACHARR to assess them was held on 21st May. Eight proposals were selected for consideration for further support. It is hoped to include further details in the next issue.

John Foote has moved onto a post with Trade Partners UK in Glasgow. The successor to his post in OGID has not been appointed yet. We hope to report on this in the next issue
