Emma Feltham (emma.feltham@epsrc.ac.uk) has been appointed the new Associate Programme Manager responsible for oil and gas at EPSRC (http://www.epsrc.ac.uk) succeeding David Holtum The Engineering
and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) is
the UK Government’s leading funding agency for research and training in engineering
and the physical sciences, investing over £460 million a year in world-class
research that forms the basis for future economic development in the UK and
leads to improvements in everyone’s health, personal well-being and lifestyle.
EPSRC also actively promotes public awareness of science and engineering.
EPSRC works alongside other Research Councils with responsibility for other areas of research. The Research Councils work collectively on issues of common concern via Research Councils UK. EPSRC funds Oil and Gas Extraction research through the Engineering Programme in responsive mode (see http://www.epsrc.ac.uk/website/research/funding/opportunities and http://www.epsrc.ac.uk/webSite/research/funding/guide for more information), and jointly with NERC through the Ocean Margins LINK Programme (see http://www.nerc.ac.uk/funding/thematics/oceanmargins/ for more information).
